These fabulous earrings are from 1880. Each earring has a pearl in a diamond cluster suspending another, trefoil diamond cluster top, small diamond in between, one with conch pearl and grey pearl below, the other with white pearl and bronze pearl below. The clusters are detachable and can be converted to wear as stud earrings.
I think they are classic and beautiful – I love the fact that the pearls are different colors in each earring. It’s a design detail I would have expected to hate, but instead I think it lends this pair of earrings a little something extra. What do you think?

I don’t know if I can handle the asymmetry of the different colors. I see the appeal, but it is certainly not something I enjoy personally.
