I have a question for you. It’s a serious question, even though it’s not going to sound like one.
What’s even better than beautiful jewelry?
The answer: beautiful jewelry that does something beautiful for the world.
The new Annoushka Ethiopian opal collection is not only incredibly beautiful, 20% of its proceeds are going to back to land where the opals originated. The Give a Future micro-finance program, funded by Annoushka, is dedicated to supporting Ethiopian women through small loans and practical support.
Each piece centers around a magnificent Ethiopian opal, ranging from 3 to 8 carats in size.
Each glorious opal is set in white gold and black rhodium and embellished with champagne diamonds. I love the split shanks on the ring settings and how the two halos are each sprinkled with occasional larger diamonds among the small melee.
The pendants don’t have ring shanks, of course, but they feature champagne diamond embellishments on the bail; one larger diamond at the top and smaller ones dripping all the way down in two halos around the center stone.
What do you think of this Annoushka Ethiopian opal collection, my dears? Does any particular piece stand out to you?
Also, I’d love to get your thoughts: Does the fact that a percentage of the proceeds from this collection go to charity make you more likely to purchase a one of the pieces, or would the style of the piece still be more important?

love these opals! I volunteer my time for Cancer patients. I’m all for $ going to God’s people in need. In doing so you’re showing your showing others love which ultimately leads them to Jesus Christ!

As with any charity organization, I would do my research before I supported them, and if they didn’t stand up to scrutiny, then I probably wouldn’t buy. (Assuming the product was in my budget. ) Now, if the organization did meet my expectations, I would buy one in a heartbeat (again, assuming I can afford it. ) And if money grew on trees, I would buy them all and give them as gifts! To go a step further, if I really felt the charity was amazing, I would probably support them even if I could not afford the beautiful opals. 🙂
