Good morning, darlings!!
First things first: I want to congratulate the fabulous Lydia L. for winning my birthday giveaway!! I hope you and your gorgeous new pendant will be very happy together.
Thank you to everyone who entered and especially to Maejean Vintage for donating that beautiful prize!
I have a weakness for beautiful antique ring boxes (a weakness that I know many of you share) but I’ve never been excited about a contemporary ring box until I saw The Mrs. Box.
Glorious, yes? They’re so bright and happy, covered in beautifully textured fabric and perfectly proportioned.
Each of these boxes is handmade with vintage French velvet in rich, luscious colors. Their design is inspired by the lovely little ring boxes of the early 1900’s, which I’m sure many of you will be delighted to hear.
Because they source their fabric from out-of-production French textile mills, these beauties are limited edition. If you have to have one, be sure to get on the mailing list so you don’t miss out.
They used Trumpet & Horn’s antique rings for the shoot, which I think was a perfect choice.
The only part of this pretty little box that I don’t love is the name: “The Mrs. Box.” I think one of these babies would make a delectable house for any ring, regardless of the ring or the ring owner’s matrimonial state, preferred prefix, or gender.
I think the name is more a reference to the wedding blog that’s affiliated with this project, so I do get it, but I still think it’s a shame they didn’t go with slightly different branding.
That said: they’re still the pretties contemporary ring boxes I’ve ever seen, and I think I still want one.
What do you think? Do you want one, too? What are your thoughts on the name?
These pretty little boxes are not yet on sale, but you can sign up here to be one of the first to know when they start taking preorders.
All images and info in this post are thanks to The Mrs. Box and Trumpet and Horn.

Oh I do want one of these – real candies, all of them. Of course the blue ones are the prettiest ;p. And congratulations, Lydia! You are so lucky!

Aw, thank you! I still can’t believe I won. I agree with you, about the boxes. All of them are so pretty! They remind me of petit four cakes. And the turquoise is my favorite, followed by the mint green.
