Nightstand: Arcana by Jessica Leake. This is an advance review copy of a YA fantasy historical fiction novel that comes out soon. It’s set in Edwardian London and the heroine is a society debutante who can also do magic. Sounds right up my alley, doesn’t it?
Coffee table: The Way of Kings (The Stormlight Archive Book 1) by Brandon Sanderson. I put out a Facebook call for fantasy suggestions and several of my friends recommended this. I loved Sanderson’s Mistborn trilogy, so I thought I’d give Stormlight a try. It’s AMAZING. Pure epic fantasy adrenaline rush. And so deliciously long and rich. Also? The Kindle book is FREE right now through Amazon.
On the metro: Words of Radiance (The Stormlight Archive Book 2) by Brandon Sanderson. Have I mentioned how much I love classic epic fantasy? This series is just so good. I waited about 2 minutes between finishing the first book and buying the 2nd.
Audiobook: Nothing at the moment.
