Nightstand: Instructions for a Heatwave by Maggie O’Farrell. This book is great, but it gives me weird dreams so I actually can’t read it right before bed.
Coffee table: The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle by Avi. An elementary school favorite of mine! I found a copy in my apartment building’s lending library and I’m really enjoying rereading it.
On the metro: The Girl With All the Gifts by M.R. Carey. This book is much more scifi than I normally do, but it’s very well done. It also gives me WAY WORSE dreams than anything else I’m currently reading. I have to stop reading it at like 4 pm, or else it’s nightmare city. (Why am I so susceptible to horrifyingly vivid dreams?)
Audiobook: Nothing at the moment.

This is a very cool post: Odds In Our Favor: Race in The Hunger Games.
Kesha opened up about her eating disorder recovery in Teen Vogue, cementing her place in my list of celebrities I genuinely respect as well as adore. Eating disorders are real and horrible, and for a celebrity to talk honestly about hers in a publication aimed at teen girls is an incredible move towards awareness.
