These earrings by Amrapali are just fabulous. From the stylized birds on the top to the rubies and emeralds on the tassel, they are bright, fun, and happy. These beauties are by Amrapali and they are gold with diamonds, emeralds, rubies, sapphires, pearl tassels with a touch of enamel.

White gold, green tourmaline and diamond earrings.
These earrings leave me almost speechless. Hot damn. If I was a boy earring, I’d want to take these earrings out for drinks and invite them back to my place after. Two huge, gorgeously colored tourmaline drops, each surrounded by diamonds. This is a sexy very pair of earrings.
I dare you not to look at them.
I bet your jaw’s on the floor like mine is. Oh man. They’re a knockout. The color!
These beauties are going to be part of Sotheby’s Important Jewels Sale in New York on 20 September 2012 – click here for the listing. All information and photos of this piece are thanks to Sotheby’s.
Sotheby’s description:
Pair of 18 Karat White Gold, and Diamond Pendant-Earrings
Set with two pear-shaped green tourmalines weighing approximately 31.70 carats, framed and surmounted by numerous round diamonds weighing approximately 2.85 carats and four oval-shaped diamonds weighing approximately 2.95 carats.
Unique emerald and diamond earrings.
I love emeralds. I love most gems at least a little, but emeralds have a special place in my heart.
Christie’s uses the word “unique” in their title for the listing of these earrings, and I think it’s appropriate. They’re really something special.
They’re also rather impressive: each is topped with a pear-shaped diamond of approximately .70 cts. Beneath each diamond is a cascade of cushion-cut emeralds, each leading to a larger emerald (one 5.99 carats and the other 5.68).
I think the latticed way they’re connected and the accents of diamond make these really beautiful. I’d love a chance to see what they’d look like against my hair. I’m not sure what event would be worthy of these but I’m sure I could come up with one if I ever get my hands on these emerald and diamond earrings.

These emerald and diamond earrings was sold to a very lucky buyer as part of the Christie’s Hong Kong Jewels auction on 29 November 2010 for $219,982. For the original lot, please click here. All information about and pictures of this piece are thanks to Christie’s.
