I just a have a subtle little necklace for you today. An understated piece you could throw on with yoga pants for a trip to the grocery store or a coffee run. It’s barely visible.
JK. This multi-strand natural pearl and diamond necklace is a megawatt, in-your-face nonstop neck festival of serious glamour.
Holy diamonds, batman.
Let’s break it down:
The heart of this piece is the seven lush layers of alternating pearl and diamond strands. The diamonds strands are all rose-cuts, which would catch the light in a glorious gently diffused shimmering explosion of lovliness. The pearl strands comprise two hundred and sixteen(!!!) natural pearls, ranging in size from 3.95 to 10.30 mm and spaced with itty bitty seed pearls for additional amazingness.
The seven magnificent pearl and diamond strands hang from a circular-cut diamond link neckchain in 18k white gold. This neckchain – the links across the back – is adjustable, so this curtain of beauty could hang at a variety of lengths.
The piece is further embellished by a sensual, unbelievably elegant double tassel with two strands of rose cut diamonds, diamond beads, and and natural pearls. One of the tassel strands ends with a larger baroque-shaped natural pearl topped with a circular-cut diamond cap. The baroque pearl is sized 17.30 x 12.90 x 10.80 mm.
I love how the seven strands are so carefully attached to the 18k diamond neckchain. Look at where the chain meets the strands: each strand is carefully attached to its own loop, all precisely spaced so as to not overlap.
I would like every celebrity who’s ever walked a red carpet with a bare neck to look at this necklace and reconsider their poor life choices. With something like this necklace in the world, there’s no excuse for under-adornment.
