Heirloom by Doyle & Doyle Plumb earrings.

If you’re an antique jewelry connoisseur, you probably already know of Doyle & Doyle and their fantastic estate selection. Well, the two fabulous jewelry-loving sisters responsible for that beautiful collection of pre-loved jewelry have branched out into the realm of new jewelry inspired by the antique aesthetics they love and, oh my, is it wonderful.

I plan to show you more of Doyle & Doyle’s new collections – called “Heirloom” – eventually, but today I’m starting with my very favorite design, the Plumb earrings.

Here they are in my favorite combination, lapis and gold. Aren’t they glorious? The chunky lapis drops, the beveled golden pyramids, the voluptuous contrast of the two shapes at their narrow connecting point. They feel somewhat Victorian, but they’re brand spanking new.

It’s a fairly simple design, but that’s what I think makes these so great. I would wear these with everything I own. (And I just might, too. These are really very high on my “would actually buy” list).

Here’s the Plumb earrings in sterling silver with diamonds. Such an edgy, glamorous feel to these, yes?

I love the gold and onyx version of the Plumb earrings, too, but my hair’s dark enough that those dark and lovely dangles would be hard to see. That’s why my heart belongs to the lapis…which I just may have to acquire.

Which brings me to my final point about things I love about the Plumb earrings: they’re a fairly affordable luxury. They range from under $150 to just over $600.
