I’ve known that The Jewelry Showcase was coming for months and I’m so excited that I can finally tell you all about it!!
The internet has many options for jewelry e-commerce, but it’s the philosophy and care behind The Jewelry Showcase that makes it something truly special. The Jewelry Showcase offers only handmade, original jewelry carefully produced by independent jewelry artisans. Nothing mass-produced, nothing run-of-the-mill.
The jewelry featured on The Jewelry Showcase includes a wide range of styles, metals, and gemstones; but it all has one thing in common: true artistry. In their own words:
If you value quality, pride in ownership and original design, we know you will appreciate the artistry that each one of our independent jewelry designers offers to this curated jewelry platform. By choosing one of their handcrafted jewelry designs you are supporting their passion for excellence, creativity and fine design, as well as supporting independent small businesses.”
A carefully curated selection of handcrafted jewelry, created by dedicated independent jewelry artists and offered with the goal of supporting and promoting those independent jewelry artists? I think this sounds like The Jewelry Showcase was created with us in mind, my darlings.
The Jewelry Showcase’s opening roster includes several designers I already know and love – Nataly Aponte, Loriann Jewelry, May Came Home, and DRU. Jewelry, to name a few – as well as many new-to-me brands I was delighted to discover. The site lets you filter by artist or by type of jewelry, which is great for browsing and discovery or for getting right down to business if you already know what you want.
I love that The Jewelry Showcase offers so many aesthetic options: from boho to minimalist, classic to edgy, statement to everyday staples. It’s a truly eclectic selection, which is thrilling! So many stores – especially e-commerce – focus on just one look and neglect others.
The price range is appealingly wide as well: the handmade treasures on The Jewelry Showcase start with a healthy selection at $250 and below, before ranging upwards. That means that The Jewelry Showcase is fantastic both for browsing and for buying, no matter your budget.
Even The Jewelry Showcase’s Instagram is great: collages of the latest jewels paired with couture gowns, nature scenes, and gorgeous photography.
I think my very favorite thing about The Jewelry Showcase – besides its inspiring collection – is how the platform celebrates its artists. So many stores present jewelry as if its maker is an afterthought, barely worth mentioning. The Jewelry Showcase not only includes mini-features on every one of its artists, its homepage features a rotating series of spotlight videos offering an in-depth look at one artist at a time.
I love the idea of a shop that not only recognizes the genius of its individual artists, but celebrates them. Why buy any old accessory when you can buy a piece of jewelry made by someone whose story you know? That’s the beauty of true artisan jewelry. These pieces aren’t just objects, they’re somebody’s passion and vision made tangible. The Jewelry Showcase celebrates that fact.
The Jewelry Showcase’s founder, Faith Marcus, brings more than two decades of luxury industry experience to the venture. Her accomplishments run the gamut from marketing to interior design, and her resume sparkles with accomplishments like overseeing the marketing and visual merchandising of twenty-seven Louis Vuitton boutiques while also serving as the brand’s National Training Director. She’s not just an expert in the luxury market, she’s an expert in the people of the luxury market: her specialty is helping to coordinate, motivate, and uplift large numbers of people to lead them all to greater success together.
In other words: The Jewelry Showcase has a serious power at its helm. This isn’t just a random venture, it’s backed by major league know-how.
Personally, I know Faith Marcus because we have co-curated the Precious Treasured Jewels group board on Pinterest for several years – an endeavor that predates both The Jewelry Showcase and Diamonds in the Library.
As if the initial lineup of The Jewelry Showcase designers wasn’t enough, there’s going to be more to come: the platform plans to continually review possible new designers and will bring on more notable jewelry artisans in the future! If you’re an artist, you can apply here.
Go look at The Jewelry Showcase right now and bookmark it so that you don’t miss what they do next! See their website here, and their IG here.
And speaking of exciting visuals: this post contains a sneak peek in this post of Loriann Jewelry‘s BRAND NEW collection. Keep an eye out; we’ll be taking a close look at all of it soon!
