Lovely gold and gemstone necklace.

Good morning, kittens!

I was browsing auction houses online the other day (as I often do) and picking out some pieces to share on my Tumblr when this pretty, pretty gold and gemstone necklace jumped out at me. I had the Tumblr post all written when suddenly I realized no, no, this is too lovely for a mere Tumblr post. It deserves its own blog feature.

And so here we are.

Isn’t it just wonderful? I adore the asymmetry, the warmth of the gold, and the beautiful juxtaposition of the different gemstones’ colors.

Sigh. Isn’t it just the prettiest? And so interesting, in a subtle, lovely way. It would bring out different elements in different outfits depending on what colors you chose to wear with it.

The golden foliate links on the chains with the dangling gems are such a lovely touch.

I would like more pieces like this to exist in the world, please. Ideally in my jewelry box.
