Nightstand: The Duke and I (Bridgerton Series, Book 1) by Julia Quinn. I downloaded this after a fellow Book Rioter recommended it as one of her essential reads for romance newbies and I LOVED it. Expect to see me devouring this entire series ASAP. (I’m actually on book 5 now…I drafted this post two days ago.)
Coffee table: Jackaby by William Ritter. A light-heated fantasy/mystery story. This is fun and fluffy – sort of reminds me a bit of the tv show Grimm, if Nick were a batty magician with a plucky lady sidekick in the 1920s.
On the metro: The Girls at the Kingfisher Club by Genevieve Valentine. A re-imagining of the fairy tale of the 12 dancing princesses set in the dance clubs of the 1920’s. Not a fairy tale I would never have expected anyone to re-imagine, but it made for a very cool book.

I didn’t do an #OscarJewelry recap this year, but if you saw any of my live-tweeting you know that I thought Margot Robbie’s VC&A Zipper necklace was pretty much the be all and end all of everything, ever. It was ORIGINALLY DESIGNED FOR THE DUCHESS OF WINDSOR. Game over.
Here are some fab #OscarJewelry recaps from fellow jewelry lovers, in case you do want to see what other people wore: from The Court Jeweller, A Sparkle Affair, Tanya Dukes, fashionologie (TONS of photos), OMJ, Bonhams, About.com, Cheryl Kremkow (great photos, great picks), Jewelry.com, Lorraine DePasque, Julers Row, Charm and Chain, JCK Magazine, Pricescope (GREAT photos) and The Jewellery Editor.

This article on The History of Abortifacients is fascinating. A good reminder that abortions have always happened and always will happen, so they might as well be legal and safe.
