Good afternoon, my darlings!

I love this time of year. Winter starts considering giving way to spring, flowers emerge, the sun starts feeling warm instead of watery and far away…and my allergies kick in, but not everything can be perfect.

This Baker & Black ring, however, IS perfect. It makes me way the way that early spring makes me feel. I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it on Instagram.

I always love a piece that successfully combines warm and cold colors, and this color scheme is perfection. Baker & Black designer Megan Baker says that this color palette was inspired by an afternoon spent at the Strand flipping through Josef Alber’s Interaction of Color.

The intriguing silhouette and dynamic lines of the bypass are a beautiful bonus. And you know I love a ring that’s long on the finger – this kind of vertically oriented shape is so elegant and satisfyingly dramatic.

This one of a kind Baker & Black  ring features rubellite tourmaline, blue sapphires and rhodolite garnet in 18 karat yellow gold, made in NYC.

I’ve actually been a fan of Baker & Black’s designs for a while…they’re on my “brands to write about when I have time” list. (It’s a very long list.)
