You’re familiar by now with my weakness for Edwardian dinner rings. This one is another really lovely example.
This ring is from the first decade of the 20th century. It is is centered with a lustrous purplish pink natural pearl and highlighted with high quality European cut diamonds set into scrolling foliate motifs. I think the scrolling lines of the design, set with those lovely diamonds, make just a perfect complement to the creamy pearl in the middle.
The band is fairly simple – the shoulders and undergallery are plain, unlike some Edwardian rings, but I don’t think this ring needs any additional adornment. This lovely ring is currently for sale at Lang Antiques. All images and info are thanks to Lang.
