Rose gold has been trendy in engagement rings recently and it looks like it’s here to stay, at least for a while. I, for one, think that it’s marvelous. Pink is my favorite color, after all, and the more engagement rings I look at, the more I appreciate when there’s something about a certain setting that makes it stand out from the crowd. Rose gold engagement rings are just bit different, a perfect way to assert your personality in your engagement ring without throwing tradition out the window.
As I recently learned in my online GIA classes, the pink hue of rose gold is achieved by increasing the percentage of copper in the gold alloy. And did I mention how pretty they are? Let’s take a look.
I’ve actually tried on this Coast Diamond rose gold engagement ring, so I know firsthand how pretty it is. It’s shown here with the matching wedding band, which matches very well indeed.
This diamond solitaire by Van Craeynest appears to be very simple until you notice the lovely engraving along the diamond-sprinkled rose gold band.
If you’re into pink diamonds on rose gold, you’re going to love this Jean Dousset setting – it’s completely encrusted with them. This setting boasts 0.70 carats of Argyle fancy pink diamonds and is shown here with a cushion cut center stone.
Here’s an antidote if all that pink was overwhelming. This Todd Reed black diamond and rose gold engagement ring makes rose gold edgy and tough. I love the halo on this piece, too.
I’m a huge fan of this charmingly unique Megan Thorne “Picture Frame” engagement ring. It’s actually set with a white sapphire rather than a diamond. What do you think?
If sparkle is your primary concern, you’re going to like this rose gold engagement ring by Barkev’s. How about that double halo?
It wouldn’t be a rose gold engagement ring roundup without one ring shaped like a flower. This buttercup diamond ring by Megan Thorne takes the floral associations of rose gold and creates a beautiful, unique piece. Sweet but not too sweet.
Our final rose gold engagement ring is a split shank setting by Natalie K (you know I love a split shank). This beauty features rows of round white and pink diamonds surrounding a center round mounting made for a 1.50ct center stone.
