If you’ve never checked out the Lang Antiques website before, go look at it right now. Lang Antiques was where I first discovered the wonderful world of online jewelry. They have wonderful pieces, take high-quality photos, and write great descriptions. They also maintain the Antique Jewelry University, which is a great resource. Hats off to Lang. If they weren’t across the country from me, I’d be in serious trouble.
This Edwardian diamond dinner ring is currently for sale at Lang, waiting to be purchased for a very lucky finger. This lovely, lacy, ring is so delicate and pretty. It’s everything I love about Edwardian jewelry – made up entirely of tiny, careful details that create a stunning whole.
It looks like it could float. Please note the gallery made up of hearts – you’ll have to check out the additional pictures below to get a good look.
All of these images come right from Lang. Thank you, Lang Antiques for these pictures and for sharing your pretties online so that we can ogle them.
Lang’s description:
An early twentieth century, sumptuous and sizable, dinner ring highlighting a bright and beautiful .85 carat European-cut diamond. The sparkling center stone is nestled within a delicate and lacy oval top framed in glistening old mine-cut diamonds. All around the side gallery are tiny open hearts standing shoulder-to-shoulder supported by graceful open work shoulders. This singular and romantic original Edwardian diamond ring measures an ample 7/8 inch by 5/8 inch on top.
This bright and bold statement piece was previously owned by Brooke Astor, and is soon to be auctioned by Sothby’s with other items from Ms. Astor’s estate. Made by Bulgari in 1959, this spectacular necklace has more than 100 carats of emeralds and almost 60 of diamonds. That’s some serious sparkle. I highly recommend clicking on the image to get a look at it full-sized.
