I’m going to go out on a limb and assume I don’t need to introduce you to Chanel. But if you are in the mood for some introducing to (or revisiting of) Chanel’s jewelry history, I recommend you watch this video.
Today we’re going to be looking at three pieces from Chanel’s Jardin de Camélias collection.
That incredible thing is the Camélia Origami bracelet. It’s made of white gold and is set with 575 brilliant-cut diamonds, with a total diamond weight of 10.7 carats. It is further set with 930 brilliant-cut pink and purple sapphires (total sapphire weight of 24 ct) and 4 brilliant-cut pink spinels (total weight of 2.8ct). I’d really love to get my hands on this one. It’s like a wrist corsage, but made entirely of jewels. What more could anyone want?
Stay with me for the matching necklace and earrings.
Here’s the Camélia Origami necklace – it’s less over-the-top than the bracelet, but just as stunning. I love the asymmetry of the three flowers, the shades of pink in the petals, and the tiny camelia at the clasp. This is an exceptional piece.
Like the bracelet above, this necklace is made in white gold. It’s set a 11.6ct pear-cut pink spinel (I bet you can spot that one), 328 brilliant-cut diamonds with a total weight of 7.9ct, 337 brilliant-cut pink and purple sapphires with a total weight of 9.7ct, and 4 brilliant-cut pink spinels with a total weight of 4.4ct.
The earrings are similarly designed to the necklace and bracelet, and also set with diamonds, pink and purple sapphires, and pink spinels, although I don’t have exact specifications for the carat weights for these.
