A few weeks ago, I started this Disney Princess engagement ring series with my picks for engagement rings worthy of fictional Disney Princesses Cinderella, Jasmine, Ariel, Mulan, and Aurora. It was too fun to stop with just five, so I kept right on going.
Here is Part II, with my picks for Belle, Snow White, Esmerelda, Tiana, and Rapunzel.

Belle is my favorite Disney Princess; no other lady holds a candle to her. Not only is she a sassy and fabulous representative of Team Brunette, she loves books! And she’s a documented re-reader, much like yours truly. (“I’ll borrow…that one!” “But you’ve read it twice!”) Belle doesn’t really need a ring, since her Prince already gave her the best gift that anyone could hope for, but I wanted to find her one anyway.(Image via Belle’s Bookshelf.)
My pick for Belle is this 4.33 carat yellow diamond ring by Cartier. Classic and elegant, just like Belle herself. The center stone is a rectangular brilliant cut natural fancy intense yellow diamond, flanked on either side by white diamonds. Yellow diamonds aren’t usually my first choice, but this one is glorious and no one can deny that yellow is Belle’s color.
Once she’s married, I imagine Belle will wear just her wedding band most of the time and save her engagement ring for special occasions. She strikes me as sort of a hands-on Princess, and who can re-organize her library with a huge rock on her finger?
The De Beers Adonis rose band in platinum gives me the rose tie-in I wanted for Belle without making library maintenance impossible. It’ll look wonderful with her engagement ring or on its own, and it’s a reference to the rose as an important symbol of her story without being overly on-the-nose. The plentiful tiny diamonds will give this band sparkle worthy of a Princess.
(Image via Fanpop.)Sure, Esmerelda’s not technically a Princess – but she’s a fabulous, feisty heroine and she deserves a ring too. I don’t actually remember her movie very well, but I know she dances like a diva and stands up for herself and her friends. She also definitely loves gold – even her goat has a gold earring.
My pick for Esemerelda is the Erica Courtney “Ellen” ring. It’s bold and feminine, just like Esmerelda. Bonus: the design on the side actually forms a cursive “E.” The one pictured here is in rose gold, but I think Esmerelda would probably prefer high-karat yellow gold to match the rest of her jewelry.
(Image via Kniggit.)Good old Snow White. I don’t have strong feelings about Snow White, although I do enjoy her affinity for woodland creatures and I think she played herself better than Kristen Stewart did.
My pick for Snow White is Art Deco Cartier, so it’s very Princess-worthy. Aren’t the colors amazing? It features a 5.50 carat a European-cut fancy intense yellow diamond flanked on either side by shield-cut sapphires weighing a total of 1.20 carats.
I think the connection here is pretty obvious: the yellow diamond with blue sapphires is a perfect match for Snow White’s favorite (or only) outfit. A Disney Princess engagement ring must be an appropriate color!
Tiana came too late for me to admire her in my personal golden age of Princesses (before age 20) but I’m still fond of her. Her movie has fabulous music and her domain includes beignets; what’s not to love?
I chose Van Cleef & Arpels’ Arbre aux Songes ring for Tiana. It features a glorious, majestically-hued tourmaline in a setting embellished diamond-studded leaves. I think the bayou-esque color scheme and foliate setting would be a lovely reference to how she and her prince met and fell in love.

Pink jewels from the Tiffany & Co. Blue Book.
The Tiffany & Co. Blue Book is out! That means that we have many new beauties to behold. Because I needed some kind of theme, we’re going to focus on pink jewels today.
I thought I’d start out the pink jewel parade with this bracelet. It looks sort of like a sunrise when it’s at that angle, don’t you think? It also reminds me somewhat of this spectacular ring, which I know you like.
This incredible piece is platinum set with diamonds and lined in rose gold. Oh yeah: and one very exceptional 74.63-carat morganite. That’s the pink beauty you’re drooling over there in the middle. Not too shabby.
A lovely floral ring in pink and white diamonds. I hope my April showers bring this kind of May flower.
While we’re at it…why not pink jewels for every finger? I think these show a clear Art Deco influence, possibly inspired by Tiffany’s recent designs for the Great Gatsby movie (don’t worry, I’ll show you those soon).
Here’s a stunning detail shot of a diamond and pink diamond bracelet from the same collection. I haven’t been able to find a full view of this – if you have more info on it, please let me know!
Here’s a similar and equally to-die-for pink diamond and white diamond pendant. Isn’t it lovely? It reminds me of rose windows.
And last but not least, some diamond and pink diamond earrings to match all of the pink-focused rings and bracelets we’re all coveting now.

Fit for a (Disney) Princess: engagement rings.
A dear friend of mine recently sent me an article about a Disney Princess engagement ring collection. These were designed by the blogger behind Heck Yeah Disney Merch using Gemvara’s custom ring design tool. They’re a lot of fun to look at, but none of them are really my taste. Therefore, because it’s rainy and I have time, I’d like to offer alternative Disney Princess engagement rings. Alternatives at an infinite budget, because: Princesses.

Cinderella’s ring was my favorite of the ones in the article that I linked to above; I love the idea of giving her a stone that matches her iconic ice-blue dress. I’m also making the assumption that her housework days aren’t going to follow her to the palace.
My pick for Cinderella is this lovely fancy blue diamond ring by Tiffany and Co., circa 1910. Cinderella’s look in general is very 1950’s (for obvious reasons) but I think this Edwardian ring suits her. The elegant, marquise-shaped 3.54 carat fancy blue diamond fits her personality, as do the subtle floral details and tiny winking white diamonds of the platinum setting.

Jasmine is one of the few Disney Princesses who grows up as a Princess. She has a tiger for a pet, a private garden, a documented penchant for statement jewelry, and a wardrobe of matching bra tops and harem pants. Men literally put on parades to try to get her attention, and she’s all Shania Twain about it. Also, her boyfriend has a genie BFF. Jasmine knows no limits.
My choice for Jasmine is the Sun Drop diamond, a legendary 110.03 carat fancy vivid yellow pear-shaped diamond. She’d have to take it off while pretending to be a normal girl in the market, but I’m sure her tiger would guard it for her. A Disney Princess engagement ring can be as over-the-top as it wants.

Aurora – a.k.a. Sleeping Beauty – is responsible for my lifelong dream to frolic barefoot in the woods in an casually fabulous outfit. She may not always make the best choices where spindles are concerned, but who couldn’t be jealous of her napping abilities?
I had to give Aurora an amethyst, because you know her various fairy godmothers would turn it purple eventually anyway with their pink vs blue fighting. This whimsical, dreamy ring features a light and lovely amethyst wreathed with 1 carat of diamonds, all set in pink gold.

We already know Ariel is a sucker for anything shiny or unusual, but her engagement ring should be a whoosit/whatsit unlike any other in her collection.
My pick for erstwhile mermaid Ariel is this stunner by Chopard – the colors can remind her of her first home, the sea. It would also be glorious against her red hair. This ring centers a rare and beautiful Pariba tourmaline, and is further adorned by sparkling white diamonds and additional tourmalines.

Mulan is a badass. She disavows traditional gender roles to save her father and ends up saving her country, all while hanging out with a dragon and learning to use her sword like a BAMF. She deserves something awesome.
My pick for Mulan is this fantastically rare and exquisite fancy vivid orange diamond ring. The center stone is 4.19 carats and the white gold setting is embellished with brilliant-cut diamonds. The emperor might have to finance it, since it’s a Sotheby’s record holder, but I think she’s earned it. After all, a girl like Mulan doesn’t come around every dynasty.
