Good morning, darlings.
I have a ring I would like you to meet.
It’s Art Deco, from the 1930’s. The center stone is an old mine cut diamond, accentuated by three smaller sparklers to each side. The setting is hand-engraved platinum with openwork details.
This beauty came to me by way of Tiny Jewel Box, a wonderful jewelry store here in DC.
They answered every question that came up along the journey (which I was part of in the early stages) AND their incredibly talented goldsmith resized this baby from a size 8 to a 4.5.
Please note: that is not a normal feat of sizing for an ornate antique ring. They didn’t think it was going to be possible, but they managed it without damaging the engraving. Special thanks to Travis, our wonderfully patient and wise sales associate, and Jim, the owner, who is incredibly friendly and warm.
The best part? We found after the fact that my dad had also purchased my mom’s engagement ring at Tiny Jewel Box.
I couldn’t be happier.
xoxo
Becky
