It’s Election Day in the US! If you’re voting today, I hope it goes as quickly and smoothly as possible. If, like me, you have already voted and are trying not to be a nervous wreck while you wait for news, here are some things to distract you.
I plan to make a cake and probably drink some wine. However you spend your Election Day, please take care of yourselves.
For my international readers: oh my goodness, I bet you’re sick of US politics. I am too. Hopefully it’ll be calmer over here after this week but we shall see.

The Cruel Prince (The Folk Of The Air #1) by Holly Black. I just started this last night! It’s dark and vivid and enthralling, the story of two human girls growing up in a dangerous FairyLand. A perfect Halloween weekend read.
The Boy Toy by Nicola Marsh. This contemporary romance was so much fun. Samira is a fiercely independent half-Indian Physical Therapist and Rory is an Australian actor who has worked to overcome a debilitating stutter. Samira moves back to Melbourne for what’s supposed to be a temporary job, but then she meets Rory…who is supposed to be a fling, but might become something more. TW for difficult pregnancy.
