I’ve tried a number of approaches to Zoom jewelry and the results are definitive: the best way to make sure your accessories are Zoom-friendly is to go BIG. That means the biggest and most spectacular of statement earrings.
There’s no jewelry more fun than statement earrings: they’re a giant adornment that you wear right next to your face! But the truth is they can be a bit tricky to wear: they can be heavy on the ear, especially when you’re wearing them all day.
Zoom offers the chance for your statement earrings to be seen in shorter intervals, while you’re in your home and can easily take your earrings off and stash them in a safe place in your lobes start to complain. It’s perfect.
Zoom jewelry: statement earrings under $250.
I once changed my earrings five times during a single Zoom cocktail party. I hadn’t been able to decide which statement pair to wear, so I had them all next to me in a box and I just swapped them out every 20 minutes or so. It was extremely entertaining.
These are the Fringe Theory statement earrings by Lingua Nigra.
Aren’t they magnificent? I love that the top of the earring comes up over the lobe to cover more area – such a cool look. The main area of the hanging element is comprised of individual dangles which will move every time you shift your head. So glamorous and regal.

These beautiful girandole style earrings by Alexis Berger feature hand-sculpted glass drops. They look a little bit like gorgeous colorful pearls, but they catch the light in a way that only glass can.

What’s cool about these Bneu Made earrings (besides everything) is that they’re actually made from gold leather, so they’re incredibly light.
They’d be great as Zoom jewelry but you can also wear them anytime, anywhere. I have a different pair from this artist and they’re the most comfortable statement earrings I’ve ever owned.

YES these Suzanna Dai earrings!! Blue and green sparkling swags of rhinestones. These babies are an ice queen dream. They also come in a vibrant fuchsia/orange rainbow color scheme and a more neutral golden color scheme, if you love the design but don’t click with the colors.

This incredible piece is the Progression hoop from Made By Malyia Jewelry. It’s so beloved that it’s currently sold out, but the brand has a waiting list and has promised another drop soon.
(These might be a smidge over our target price range, but I couldn’t resist including them.)
If you love this design, go sign up for the waiting list now.
These incredible earrings are from a London-based brand called Chalk. They’re primarily made of wood and they blow my mind. Aren’t they stunning??
Chalk also makes mirrors with this kind of detailing and they’re well worth a look.

It’s hard to beat beaded fringe for drama! I love the color and the movement of these earrings from Mile High Beads. Such a soft, rich, earthy color scheme.
I own one pair of earrings by this artist (although they’re not this pair) and I’m very happy with them. Great quality and they’re so easy to wear.

With sparkling cascades of my very favorite color, the pink Dorothy earrings from Elizabeth Cole Jewelry are guaranteed to make everyone in the video chat smile when you rock them as Zoom earrings.
They’re just so happy!

These are the Prism earrings by Alchemilla Jewelry. Oh, how I love this brand’s earrings. They always have the most enthralling, soulful, mysterious vibe.
I don’t own anything from this designer yet for the simple reason that I always want everything she posts and I haven’t been able to make up my mind.

Another pair bringing major sparkle drama, these fringey chandelier earrings from Lionette NY are inspired by the city of Tel Aviv.
I love the pink/gold/black color combo here, and you can just tell these earrings would have hypnotizing movement.

i’ll wear the glass girandoles by alexis berger and the prism by alchemilla, please.
funny you should post this, as i was just thinking how i had been selecting bigger earrings for my zoom-based yoga classes and social chats. normally for yoga i wear very petite earrings, but somehow seeing my face (and neck, oh dear, video neck is a thing) on the screens has made me wear my bolder earrings…and lipstick! the pale, subtle ones i generally wear don’t show up at all. finally getting some use from all those pretty-in-the-tube reds that looked too bright on my face. silver linings…

Oooh yes clearly this post was meant for you!! I share your love of video chat lipstick and video neck is totally a thing – especially when the angle isn’t right!
I think it sounds like you’re in need of some glorious new statement earrings. You deserve them!!

Becky
