Oooh. What an utterly perfect peice for the winter holiday season. It looks like a frosted wreath. And, bonus! It converts into two bracelets. 3 for 1 value.
This gorgeous thing was made in France in 1930. It’s designed as a meandering vine set with 73 carved emerald leaves, accented by old mine, old European, and rose-cut diamonds (approximately 9.00 carats). It’s only 14½ long, so it’s a bit of a choker. The necklace separates into two bracelets lengths 7¼ inches.
I’m a bit in love with it. You know how I feel about vine-shaped things, especially if the leaves are individually carved, like these are.
This gorgeous piece was listed in Christie’s 20 September 2012 Important Jewels auction. All images and information are thanks to Christie’s.
