Cathy Waterman diamond and pink sapphire bangle.

Cathy Waterman is a favorite jewelry designer of mine.  Her work has an unmistakable elegant, ethereal touch; as you may remember from when we’ve looked at her designs in the past.

This is one of the larger pieces of hers I’ve seen – a gold bangle, hinge clasp, with diamond and pink sapphire embellished flowers. It could have been cheesy or saccharine but it’s so elegant that it hits just the right note of sweetness. I can’t help but think how lovely this would be as part of a bridal ensemble.

This delicate bracelet is set with 152 round brilliant cut diamonds and 8 pink sapphires. Just look at the lovely detailing in the gold on the top and bottom. Perfection.

8.62 carat Art Deco-style sapphire and diamond ring.

This is one hell of a sapphire and diamond ring.

It’s contemporary but made in antique style – you’ll see the Art Deco-inspired details, especially in the gallery and on the shoulders. The star of this ring is an 8.62 carat electric blue sapphire. The sapphire is surrounded by small, single-cut diamonds. This ring would be remarkable just with that sapphire, but what makes it really amazing is the intricate gold setting.
