I just fell pretty deep into the 1stdibs.com black hole of browsing. (You understand if you’ve been there.) I thought I’d share some of the pretties I came across.
This lovely floral platinum-topped rose gold ring is Victorian and amazing. It’s been sold, which is sad for us but amazing for whoever bought it.
This Art Deco opal plaque ring slays me with its magnificence. The setting is platinum with diamond-studded filigree.
This antique enamel and diamond plaque ring in gold is so striking. I love the detail on the shank.
How romantic is this Victorian twin heart ring? The hearts here are set with luminous natural pearls, wreathed in antique cushion cut diamonds and topped with the most perfect white gold bow.
This lovely Georgian navette ring shows a shepherdess carving her lover’s initials in a tree. I think it’s fantastic.
This one’s been sold but I couldn’t resist showing it to you. It reminds me of my own ring from the top view. Look at the filigree! It’s Art Deco, of course.
Aaaand one more. A big, honking Art Deco solitaire; this baby’s just under 4 carats.

I have a diamond ring my brother found in about 1944. It is 10 k gold, it had a spinel. He gave it to me and I had a diamond set in it back in the 60s. It is almost 1/2k I have the paper on the diamond from the jeweler who I bout the diamond from. I’m thinking I will sell it but I have no idea what it is worth.
It sounds beautiful!! If you need advice on the sale, I recommend talking to the experts at Joden – they do a lot of jewelry buying and they’re very nice and friendly.

I fall down this hole too:). BTW, we bought two pieces from one of the vendors you feature here just recently. Thanks for the great sources. I was wondering, have you ever looked at Beladora? Another rabbit hole, and one of my sponsors.

I do know Beladora – they’re fabulous. I’m so glad I helped you find some beauties to purchase! Always good to know there are others falling down the same black holes as I am.
