Hello, beautiful. This pendant from Maryanntiques is a perfect example of my very favorite kind of antique jewelry: it’s not the biggest or the sparkiest jewel, but there’s just something about it that makes it irresistible.
Look at those dainty platinum swoops, those dangling pearls and – most of all – that perfectly carved banded agate stone. Is it supposed to be a hot air balloon or does it just kind of resemble one? We’ll never know, but I know I love wondering.
If you know me at all, you know I have a weakness for antique turquoise rings, especially from the Victorian and Georgian eras.
