You already know a bit about the fabulous time I had at JCK’s Privé NY show earlier in the summer. But I still haven’t shown you everything. Today, you get a bit more.
In addition to the glorious jewels selected for the Editor’s Preview, I had the chance to walk around and visit different brands’ booths. To my extreme delight, one of these booths turned out to house the fabulous work of Mimi So – attended by the designer herself!
Mimi was as elegant and glamorous as her work would lead you to expect, and it was a dream come true getting to see the pieces I’ve admired online in person. I finally got to try on the amazing Mimi So bow rings I’ve been lusting after forever and see new additions to the glorious ZoZo opal collection! Don’t worry, I’m going to share.
This blue sapphire bow is extra-special, because it is Mimi’s own. She pulled it off of her hand and insisted that I try it on (and I was thrilled to, because it ended up being one of my favorite ones!). Just look at the detail here: the way the ribbon curls around, the contrast of the white diamonds inside and the blue sapphires inside. It’s just perfect.
Obviously I loved this pink sapphire bow.
I tore myself away from the bows long enough to try on these pretties from Mimi So’s Phoenix collection – yellow or white gold feathers with diamond accents. Aren’t they lovely? Such a great mix of boldness and delicacy.
Bow attack! Which one of the Mimi So bow rings would you pick, if you could only have one? I’d go with pink sapphire mid-size or yellow gold and white diamond petite.
Check back on Monday for those new ZoZo pieces I promised to show you!
A huge and heartfelt thank-you to Mimi So and her lovely team for taking the time to let me play with these beautiful pieces. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and if I ever manage to come up with the spare $$$, you can expect to see me wearing a Mimi So bow ring of my own.
