Two fantastic floral brooches by Margherita Burgener.

I’ve shown you Margherita Burgener’s fantastic brooches before (one of them, anyway). Today you get two!

I adore the lavish, sprawling expansiveness of this brooch. It’s like a floral explosion. It’s designed as the head of a flower, made of titanium and centered by a 22.32 carat kunzite. The petals of the flower are lined with brilliant-cut diamonds and – my favorite part – where the backs of the petals are showing, the titanium is completely encrusted with diamonds.

This brooch is also titanium, but of a more colorful sort. This more stylized flower is set in the center with a cascade of rose-cut pear-shaped pink sapphires weighing 16.16 carats. The sapphire cascade is accented by round diamonds. The titanium petals of this brooch are also outlined in diamonds, bringing the total diamond weight to approximately 4.70 carats.

Belle Epoque diamond and sapphire fringe necklace.

This necklace is dripping with loveliness. I think it would be an absolutely stunning something old/something blue with the right bridal gown.

This sapphire and diamond fringe necklace was made in France in 1900. The necklace is designed as a row of five sapphire and diamond stylized flower drops, each hung with three graduated collet diamonds. In between these larger flower drops are smaller flower cluster drops, all from a series of diamond scrolls with sapphire highlights and platinum scrolls, millegrain set, on a tracelink chain.

Cartier diamond and gem-set bracelet.

This bracelet is on the simple side, but I think it’s very pretty.

Made in 18 karat gold, this bracelet is set with one round-cut ruby; two square-cut emeralds; four pear-shaped sapphires; and 24 round brilliant cut diamonds, VS clarity, G color. Total diamond weight is 1.50 carats. It was made by Cartier Paris in 1994 and is stamped “Cartier.” Comes in original Cartier box.
